2020 KCPE Candidates Transfer to Their Preferred Secondary Schools Ongoing.
2020 CPE candidates have been given time until Tuesday to secure transfers to the secondary schools of their choice.
This is because over forty thousand students will be admitted to secondary schools which were not of their choice in case they will not secure transfers to their preferred secondary schools within the given time.
The struggle to join top-ranking secondary schools in the country disadvantaged the candidates as it forced the ministry to place them randomly on schools with available vacancies.
“This act made many of the candidates miss their preferred schools since it is not possible to select more than five learners from one primary school “Magoha said.
Professor George Magoha the cabinet secretary of education has blamed parents and the primary school administrations for not providing the necessary guidance on the selection of the secondary schools by the candidates.
He called on teachers and parents to be part of the selection process hence enable the learners to select schools wisely
