Raila’s ODM Camp Over The Moon As Uhuru & OKA Leaders Unanimously Agreed To Support Raila’s Presidential Bid
Raila Odinga’s Orange Democratic Movement party fraternity over the moon after Wiper party leader Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka, Amani National Congress party leader Hon. Musalia Mudavadi, Ford Kenya party leader Hon. Moses Wetangula, Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, KANU party leader Hon Gideon Moi and President Uhuru Kenyatta allegedly unanimously agreed to support Hon. Raila Odinga for the presidency ahead of the 2022 general election.
This comes after the meeting which was held in Mombasa presided by the head of state with news sources citing that the main agenda of the meeting is to create a united team that would face off against Hon. William Samoei Ruto, also attended by the Kitui county governor Hon. Charity Ngilu.
This also comes days after Uhuru’s Jubilee party and Raila’s ODM parties have reportedly laid elaborate plans for a coalition ahead of next year’s General Election.
The parties have formed a technical committee tasked with identifying instruments to ratify a merger between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga-led parties.
The ruling and opposition parties have also mulled over a united front in the race for State House next year, which is looking already crowded.
