More Trouble Looming For DP Ruto’s Allies As Uhuru is Planning To Do This After Yesterday’s Meeting
More trouble looming for Ruto’s Allies after President Uhuru met ODM party leader Raila Odinga, Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya, Wiper party leader Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka, Amani National Congress boss Musalia Mudavadi, Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetang’ula, and KANU party leader Gideon Moi.
According to news to sources, President Uhuru disclosed a Cabinet reshuffle was in the offing and some of the leaders’ loyalists would get appointments into plum government positions.
The president is seeking to kick out Deputy President William Ruto’s allies in the Cabinet with some sources indicating that President Uhuru was angered by DP Ruto’s association with the foreign investor Harun Aydin who was reportedly arrested for terrorism allegations and was deported back to his motherland country on Sunday.
Elsewhere, succession politics also dominated the Mombasa meeting with Uhuru seeking to pick his preferred successor from the opposition leaders who will face the DP in 2022.
