DP Ruto Thoroughly Heckled By Angry Kawangware Residents Because of This (Video)
Faithfuls and residents at St. Francis of Assis Catholic Church Kawangware have reportedly blocked Deputy President William Samoei Ruto and his entire United Democratic Alliance party members from attending a worshipping session in the church until UDA apologizes for Aden Duale utterances and linking the church to a cult.
This comes after the Garissa town member of Parliament honorable Aden Duale During an interview with Citizen TV on Wednesday night, Duale said ODM is a cult where nobody can speak.
“ODM is a cult where nobody can speak….its like the Catholic Church that has its structures, it has the pope, but Jubilee is a very Democratic Party. I don’t condone those who use vulgar and unpalatable words but those are found in every political formation,” he said.
But Duale received an immediate backlash from Kenyans on Twitter who said his remark was about the ODM Party and not the Catholic Church.
Muslim leaders also condemned Aden Duale’s remarks that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is like the Roman Catholic Church.
The Kenya Muslim National Advisory Council (Kemnac), led by its chairman Sheikh Juma Ngao, said that Mr. Duale’s remarks portrayed disrespect for other religions.
Deputy President William Samoei Ruto and his game makers are in Kawangware Nairobi for a Sunday church where he is also expected to meet the residents with an aim of boosting their livelihood through his Hustler Nation empowerment assembly.
