In August 2010, President Mwai Kibaki, through Legal notice upgraded the campus into a University College, a Constituent College of Moi University. Upon the award of the charter by the president in March 2013, the University College has renamed the University of Eldoret.
It offers Diploma, Undergraduate and Short Courses programs. Diploma courses at UoE are designed in such a way that they surround industry-based learning. This makes sure that the students are ready for their respective professions they studied in the university as soon as they graduate.

UoE diploma Courses Requirements
KCSE mean grade of above C- (Minus)
For courses such as Education, you need a KCSE mean grade of C (plain)
C- (minus) in either Engliush or Kiswahili
Depending on the course you choose, you will need a mean grade of C- (minus) and above for cluster subjects.
UoE diploma courses fees structure
Technology courses: Kshs. 49950 on your first term and Kshs 23000 on your second and third term.
Education courses: Kshs 50000 on your first term and Kshs. 25000 on yo second and third years respectively exclusive of other fees such as caution money, medical subsidy, examination fee among others.
The rest of the diplomas: Kshs.39750 on your first term and Kshs. 19550 on you second and third term.
