Raila Dares Ruto In His Homeground As He Takes His 2022 Campaigns To The North Rift
Eldoret town, Uasin Gishu County, ODM leader Raila Odinga, descended into the busy town of Eldoret on Friday, receiving a rosy welcome from its residents.
Odinga staging a daring attack on Deputy President Ruto’s economic model in his backyard, told the north rift residents to embrace his Azimio la Umoja Campaign with the model he says, would trigger an economic revolution in the country.
Odinga has praised the region for being the county’s food basket but blaming successive governments for failing to address the high cost of production and eliminate cartels that have captured the maize sector.
Odinga told residents that the collapse of giant industries that allegedly created hundreds of thousands of jobs had delved the region into a major blow.
Odinga equally told off those calling for him to hang his boots, adding that he has the vast experience needed to transform the country. Odinga earlier met delegates from Nandi, Baringo, Uasin Gishu and Elgeyo Marakwet.
ODM MPs who accompanied Odinga to Eldoret said the journey to rally the country behind Odinga was gaining momentum. From Eldoret, Odinga took off to Mumias West constituency in Kakamega county.
