Covid-19 Weakest Link As Cases Continue To Surge In The Country

With different variants changing tact of appearance and transmissibility, it is paramount that countries adhere to strict measures to prevent the spread of the virus, which can overstretch the health systems. In Kenya though, lives seems to be back to pre-pandemic days.

In the last 7 days, 8,425 covid-19 cases have been recorded in the country with a positivity rate ranging between 12-16%.


As the numbers continue surging, the wave appears to be staggering at the top hinting of a possible change of events in the next few weeks. The delta variant continues to threaten the globe with people trying out a number of drugs to treat covid-19. The US food and Drug is warning over the use of Evermectin in treating covid-19 among humans. According to the regulator, Evermectin tablets are approved at very specific doses for some parasitic warms and they are typical for head lice and specific skin conditions.
