I am ready to abandon mass action and shake hands with RUTO – RAILA now changes tune after realizing his revolution is not working

Wednesday, March 1, 2023 – Azimio Party Leader Raila Odinga has changed his tune over his revolution against President William Ruto.

This is after he hinted at abandoning his mass action and shaking hands with Ruto for the good of the country, ostensibly after realizing his protests are not making any impact.

Speaking during an interview yesterday, Raila revealed that there was room for talks between him and Ruto despite his constant criticism of the Kenya Kwanza government.

However, he gave three conditions for him to Abandon his anti-government protests and agree to talk to Ruto.

First, the former Prime Minister wants Ruto to lower the cost of living for Kenyans. Secondly, he must open the IEBC servers to be scrutinized by the independent body and lastly, he must stop the recruitment of IEBC commissioners.

“He must agree to open the server. Secondly, stop the recruitment of IEBC commissioners and the third is the issue of the cost of living in the country. Kenyans are suffering, some cannot buy bread,” he demanded.

According to Raila, Ruto had to meet the three demands that touch on the electioneering process and the economic status of the country before he could agree to hold talks with his government.

This comes even as Ruto has remained adamant that he will not have any kind of handshake with the Opposition Leader Raila Odinga; telling him to stick to his lane and put his government in check.
