Orange Democratic Movement party leader Hon. Raila Odinga, the Jubilee party vice-chairman Hon. David Murathe And Njee Muturi reportedly halted their planned meet the people rally in the Kandara constituency.
This came as the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Murathe, and Muturi had earlier planned to address Kandara constituency residents to drum up more support for his presambition ambitions.
But the trio reportedly canceled everything following the recent directives by the government concerning the coronavirus pandemic where they barred all kinds of in-person gathering or any form of political activity in the country until further directions by the World Health Organization.
The three political bigwigs were attending the burial ceremony of Mama Nancy Muthoni Kibe planned to escort the ODM boss Raila on his spontaneous meet the people tour at Kabati.
The ODM leader’s tour to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s turf comes barely a week after he also toured Muranga county for skiza tune thanksgiving ceremony which was held at the Royal Media Services chairman’s home attended by several Jubilee party leaders among other top Kenyan leaders.
