Leaked: The Exact Number Of MPs Who Attended This Critical Event At Ruto’s Karen Residence
Deputy President William Ruto hosted a Parliamentary Group (PG) meeting for Members of Parliament allied to his United Democratic Alliance (UDA) at his Karen residence in Nairobi.
The Tanga Tanga chief called the lawmakers for a PG meeting on Thursday, August 5, 2021, amid growing tension between him and the State House.
Members of Parliament started arriving at DP Ruto’s Karen residence in the early hours in the morning for the meeting that most political pundits said will address his woes in government and strategize on the 2022 presidential election.
Earlier reports from the Hustler Nation cited that more than a hundred members of Parliament were to attend the meeting but a report leaked one Facebook user identified Peter Mwangi revealed that only 27 MPs attended the meeting in Karen today.
The DP’s meeting comes days after he was blocked from leaving the country for Kampala.
In an interview on Inooro FM on Wednesday, August 4, the Deputy President – although evasive – detailed the intrigues behind his aborted trip.
Ruto said the decision to deny him authority to leave the country was politically instigated following the emergent leadership differences between him and pro-President Uhuru Kenyatta allies.
