COTU secretary general Francis Atwoli has finally break silence concerning the Building Bridges Initiative BBI nullification by The High Court judges of Kenya on 14th May 2021.
The vocal politician affirmed to the BBI proponents supporters that they should not by any chance get worried about the document, citing that the BBI Bill followed all constitution guidelines i.e. collection of four million signatures, passing it by the 42 county assemblies, passing it by both the senate Parliament and National parliament. He agitated that the Bill can not be turned down by merely five judges who according to him had a predetermined ruling because the judges said nothing meaningful concerning BBI but rather attacked the President throughout their ruling.
The COTU secretary also said that the judges attempted a coup against the President by suggesting to Kenyans that the President should be sued following the BBI thing.
He went ahead to urge Kenyans to stay put citing that by Monday next week if the BBI Secretariat will not move to court to appealing, he will lead Kenyans to move to court to annul the ruling by the high court judges.
