ODM Leader Raila Dismisses Claims That He Is President Uhuru’s Project For The 2022 Succession Race


With president Uhuru appearing to assertively endorse the ODM leader Raila Odinga for the presidency in 2022, following a bitter fallout with his deputy William Ruto, Odinga has finally rubbished the claims that the president is Cushing his candidature as the preferred successor.

The former prime minister in an interview dismissed the prospects going around that he is President Uhuru Kenyatta’s project for the 2022 presidential race.

According to Raila, he is his own man and not anyone’s project. The former prime minister keen on shaking off the project tag, owing to lessons from the past. In 2002, President Kenyatta who had been labeled late President Moi’s project made an unsuccessful bid for the presidency.

Despite Launching his Azimio La Umoja Unity call that has seen him traverse different parts of the country, speculation in rising over the candidature of Odinga.


He further revealed that he will be making a declaration on whether or not he will be in the 2022 presidential race by the end of this month.
