REVEALED: What Embakasi East IEBC Returning Officer Daniel Musyoka Told His Church & Family Before He Met His Death

The mysterious disappearance and murder of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Returning officer Daniel Musyoka has rocked the headlines with family members, friends and colleagues calling on a probe into the matter.

Musyoka went missing after excusing himself to make a call while at the East African School of Aviation tallying centre where he was assigned in the just concluded general elections.

His body was found in Kajiado county by herders who informed the police and according to preliminary reports, the returning officer had strangulation marks on his neck.

Fresh details have now revealed that a month before the general elections were held, Daniel Musyoka had requested his local church to pray for him because of the challenging work of managing an election days before he met his death.

This latest revelation has been made by Pastor Daniel Njuguna of the African Inland Church where Musyoka and his family frequently worshipped.

“A few weeks ago, before the August 9 general elections, Mr Musyoka stood in church and asked us to pray for him because of the elections that were a month away. We prayed for him and wished him well as he travelled to Nairobi.” Pastor Njuguna stated.
