Thursday, February 16, 2023 – All Saints Cathedral Provost Sammy Wainaina has criticized President William Ruto’s wife, Mama Rachel, and the wife of his Deputy, Dorcas Gachagua, for misleading Kenyans during Tuesday’s national prayer rally at Nyayo Stadium.
Speaking on Citizen TV’s JKLive Show, Wainaina blasted Rachel and Bishop Dorcas for allegedly preaching outside the bible just to impress their spouses.
He took issue with Dorcas for likening Azimio Leader Raila Odinga to a prophet of Baal, who was defeated by the prophet of God, who in this case is Ruto.
“The last year’s election was between the prophets of light and the prophets of darkness, and light triumphed,” Bishop Dorcas stated in reference to Ruto and Raila’s contest.
However, according to the ACK Provost, it was wrong for Dorcas to equate Raila to darkness just because he is anti-government.
At the same time, Wainaina was not impressed with Rachel for lying to Kenyans that they will be instant millionaires just because they attended the prayer rally, saying that was not biblical.
He criticized the entire prayers at Nyayo, saying there was nothing biblical about them since the preacher of the day, Pastor Lai, went offline in his preaching.
