ANC Party Leader Musalia Mudavadi Calls For Lifting Of Nationwide Curfew

The recent announcement by the health Cabinet secretary Mutahi Kagwe, concerning the extension of the 10pm to 4 am curfew for another 30 days caught Kenyans by surprise.

Many took to their social media to express their bitterness over the decisions. Many people especially those who depend on night travel and hotels have been largely affected by the curfew.

However, the Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi has called on president Uhuru Kenyatta to live the nationwide curfew.

Speaking during the ANC parliamentary group meeting in Nairobi, Mudavadi said that the curfew is aggregating the economic hardships for many Kenyans.

He also called on unregistered Kenyans to get listed as voters in the ongoing voter registration exercise.

“The economic hardships continue to bite several sectors of our economy. The transport sector, the small scale traders, hospitality sector, and the message that is coming through is that it is time that the curfew is lifted,” he said.
