Details Emerge On What Is Preventing Azimio-OKA From Filing The Election Petition So Far

Deputy President William Ruto has just
been named the winner of the 2022 Presidential Elections, with current party leader Raila Odinga of the Azimio la Umoja party coming in second.

The move was met with controversy after four commissioners publicly disagreed with the results delivered on Monday night, which Chebukati had announced.

A statement released by Raila Odinga the day after the results were made public indicated that he would not acknowledge Ruto as the victor and expressed his unhappiness with the election. He said that their reasons for being in court were the same.

Those who support them eagerly await word that a petition has been filed with the Supreme Court. Earlier today, ODM stated that the petition’s submission was being held up only by the lawyers. Mbadi has asked Kenyans to wait because he believes, the lawyers aren’t ready.
