Emmanuel Korir Breaks Kenyans gold medal drought #TokyoOlympics

Kenyans have been questioning the performance of Kenyan athletes in Tokyo Olympics,with the country’s glory being stolen in long races as the country’s athletes falls and fail to receive gold.

And now Kenya has received the first gold in the ongoing Tokyo Olympics through Emmanuel Korir in the 800 metres. Kenya’s Ferguson Rotich vans second scooping the silver medal on the race. The third place was won by Poland through Dobek.

Earlier on,the 3000 metres steeplechase, Hyvine Kiyeng won the silver for Kenya, ending another history as Kenya use to win such races.

Ugandan Chemutai won the gold medal for Uganda, becoming the first Ugandan to win the 3000M steeplechase for Uganda.

Also earlier, Julius Yego failed to qualify for the javelin throw final after he hit below the required throw to enter the finals.

Kenyans are expecting for more gold medals as already the gold medal count has been opened by Emmanuel Korir.
