The world today woke up to the sad news that one of the greatest televangelists of our generation has died.
Temitope Balogun Joshua of Nigeria, popularly known as TB Joshua died aged 57 last night and his church has confirmed the same on his Facebook page.
Although his cause of death remains unrevealed, scrutiny has been drawn at a few statements that he made before his death, likely in reference to his death.
As the book of Amos in Chapter 3 says, the Lord does nothing without revealing his will to his servants the prophets.
Speaking on Emmanuel TV which is ran by his church, the man of God quoted the words of Solomon in Ecclesiastes.
The preacher said that there is a time for everything. A time to come here for prayer and a time to return home after the service. Ordinarily, he might not have realized it.
Maybe he was just referring to the ordinary occurrence of going for prayer and returning home afterward.
However, the message draws curiosity considering he died only a few hours later. It is also possible that a prophet of his calling might have received revelation from the Lord.
Interestingly, the man of God died only 7 days to his 58th birthday which was to take place on 12th this month. A video has since emerged in which the preacher talks of his birthday.
In the video, he seems unsure and says that it will be difficult to celebrate the birthday under the current circumstances. Instead, he calls unto people to fast and pray.
Joshua rose from the humblest of beginnings to running one of the most successful Christian ministries in the world.
His church was known as the Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN).
At the time of his death, he has one of the highest social media followings for a pastor and owned a television station. The late was also loved for his humility and charisma
