The fierce Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili popularly known as Babu Owino has chipped in to ‘save’ the legislators who have been affected by the new tough conditions by the IEBC for the MPs and MCAs to have a degree for them to vie for any elective seat in 2022 general election.
Taking it on his heavily followed and verified Facebook page, the Embakasi East lawmaker has revealed that he holds 6 Diplomas and 4 degree certificates in different fields and therefore any affected legislator with the IEBC degree threshold can get in touch with him at an affordable price.
“The introduction of Degree Certificate as a condition to contest for all the positions in 2022 will be a challenge to many, as a result, I’m asking anyone without a degree certificate to by one from my many degrees.
I have 6 Diplomas and 4 Degree Certificates at an affordable price. Hurry while the stock lasts” Babu Owino posted.
This comes a time when almost 40 legislators have been struck by the degree requirement hurdle by the IEBC in respect to the clause 22 of the Kenyan constitution.
However, Deputy President William Ruto has thrashed the IEBC tough conditions alleging that the leadership mantle is not examined with the degree certificates but the integrity of the leaders.
