Incoming East Kamagambo Ward MCA Nelson Owuor Signs A Contract Worth Ksh3.4M With ECABIC E&C Towards Establishment Of Football Academy For The Ward

Hon. Nelson Owuor and Dr. Philip Kabila of camvision Cameroon have signed a contract worth Kshs 3.4 million with ECABIC E&C Consortium, an Economic development cooperation towards the establishment of the East Kamagambo ward Football academy to be constructed at the East Kamagambo ward..

According to Dr. Kabila the establishment of the football academy will be the first top talent search and networking hub in the region and it is expected to be completed within two years.

The academy will comprise of ten (10) talent search experts working with specialized local and international partners in talent, technology and networking.

“We want our football academy to be a replica of the Korean one if not better and it will also be a centre of innovation for employment creation opportunities and further development as a ward” said the Hon. Nelson Owuor.Dr. Kabila added that the establishment of East Kamagambo Football academy- is geared towards providing specialized research and training in various leading edge talents technologies and advanced talents fields to help the ward proceed with fast track talents aquisition for self employment.

Ms. Sharon who is in charge of networking and collaboration who was also present during the event reiterated Hon. Nelson’s commitment towards ensuring completion of the project within the stipulated time noting that it is one of the major components of Hon. Nelsons Manifesto.

In a past conversation with the representatives of the talented youths in a tournament which was sponsored by Nelsons Holidays Kenya.

The Kenyan government plans to transform Kenya into a middle-income country under Vision 2030 through the promotion of Talents, technology, and innovation for national economic growth. Nicknamed Arica’s Silicon Savannah, East Kamagambo Football academy is a strategic talents aquisition hub constructed to realize this vision. To this end, the medium-term plan set a goal to provide specialized talent acquisition and training in various cutting-edge talents and advanced fields.

It is anticipated that East Kamagambo Football academy will create 6,675 jobs in the medium term and over 10,000 It is anticipated that the kickoff of East Kamagambo Football academy – East and central Africa business and investment cooperation will drive economic growth through advanced talent search and aquisition. The project’s ground breaking ceremony is expected to take place later next year.
