OPINION: Magufuli”s Wife Might Be Appointed The Vice President By CCM

The Chama Cha Mapinduzi CCM (Party of the Revolution’) is the dominant ruling party in Tanzania and the second longest-ruling party in Africa, only after the True Whig Party of Liberia which was formed in 1977, following the merger of the Tanganyika African National Union (TANU) and the Afro-Shirazi Party (ASP), which were the sole operating parties in mainland Tanzania and the semi-autonomous islands of Zanzibar respectively.Following the sudden death of late president Pombe Magufuli who was re-elected on Friday 30, 2020 worked only four six months in his second term. In my opinion I would support the appointment of his wife as the vice president to atleast enjoy the sweat of his late husband who work extreemly hard for the Tanzania and got elected for the second time.The late President Pombe Magufuli died on Wednesday from heart complications at a hospital in Dar es Salaam, Samia Suluhu Hassan said in an address on state television.Mr Magufuli had not been seen in public for more than two weeks, and rumours had been circulating about his health.Opposition politicians said last week that he had contracted Covid-19, but this has not been confirmed.Mr Magufuli was one of Africa’s most prominent coronavirus sceptics, and called for prayers and herbal-infused steam therapy to counter the virus.What’s your Opinion concerning the appointment of the late Tanzania President Magufuli Wife by the CCM as vice president?
