President Uhuru and ODM leader Raila Odinga are set to preside over the tomorrow’s Madaraka day event.

This year June 1 event, which commemorates the day the country attained self-rule, is scheduled to be held at the stadium located in Mamboleo, Kisumu East.
Confirming the even venue, State House spokes lady Kanze Dena earlier said they were considering changing the venue to Kisumu State lounge over the rising cases of Covid-19 in the county.

He further noted that due to the Covid-19 situation the number of citizens attending event has been highly reduced and admission to the Stadium will be strictly by invitation card.
