Shocking as Three arrested in Kisumu over theft of 17,000 mosquito nets meant for donation
The 17,050 stolen nets were donated by the National Government.
Police in Kisumu have arrested three senior Health officers accusee to be responsible for theft of 17,050 mosquito nets set aside for donation.
The nets, valued at Sh6.8 million, were to be distributed to Kisumu residents to curb malaria.
The nets were stored at rabuor sub-county hospital and nyang’ende where they went missing with unclear circumstances.
Residents of the two sub-counties were eagerly waiting to receive the nets at no cost where they went back empty handed having noted that the nets had been stolen
