The stage was set even before the arrival of the One Kenya Alliance principals in Ukambani.
The electorates broke into songs and dance as the entourage arrived with the WIPER leader Kalonzo Musyoka as their leader.
The team was in Ukambani to popularize their agenda of the One Kenya Alliance ahead of the 2022 general elections. Kalonzo hit out at the Jubilee administration saying it has been docked with a stream of cases especially during the first term.
The OKA brigade addressed residents in Mukuyani, Masumba, Kikumir, I, and Kitenda in Kibwezi, Makueni County. Prevailing on the voters to support them with a promise to back the candidate with majority support to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.
But there was also another agenda on the plate: the upcoming ward by-election in Ngumu Sumba ward slated for October, 14.
They urged the electorate to vote in WIPER member Alisha omwewa. The By-election is expected to be another showing of supremacy battle between Kalonzo and his political nemesis governor Kivutha Kibwana who is supporting Timothy Maneno as an independent Candidate for the ward representative role.
