It’s a somber mood for the Anglican Church fraternity as they mourn a legend, A man of Wisdom the Dr. Francis Mwayi Abiero.
He collapsed today 29th October 2021 while attending a seminar in Nairobi.
The Emeritus Dr. Mwai Retired as the Bishop of the Maseno South Diocese in 2018 but still participated in several diocesan activities.
His untimely death has caught many by surprise, including his old-age wife Mrs. Mwai Abiero.
Dr. Abiero was known for several developments in Kisumu county and the Anglican church fraternity within Maseno South diocese.
Amongst his long-term developments. he is remembered to have spearheaded the building of The headquarters church in Kisumu, All saints cathedral. He is also the founder of Bishop Abiero’s girl’s school.
Most importantly, Bishop Abiero ensured that the less fortunate in his community that is the widows, orphans, the disabled and other special grouped persons got food and means of survival. He liaised with several donors to care for the well-being of his church member.
He will be remembered as a man of great wisdom. More so to the fellowship team of East Africa Revival. His sermons are worth to be remembered. His speech was a beauty to behold.
Raila Amollo Odinga together with Dr. Anyang Nyongo Governor Kisumu County joined with the Anglican fraternity to mourn their fallen Bishop.
