Angry Duale Tells Off Pres Uhuru Over Recent Remarks, Reveals Where Azimio Has Been Meeting Over Opinion Polls

Garissa Township member of parliament Aden Duale has told President Uhuru Kenyatta, that his recent remarks in Nairobi to Kenyans, that they should support the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance camp will not work.

Uhuru few days ago after opening hospitals in Embakasi and Kasarani, implored residents to rally behind Raila and his running mate Martha Karua, saying that they are the best pair to steer the country forward once he retires in August.

The president added that it would be his pleasure to hand over power to Raila, and not anyone else.

Speaking after accompanying Deputy President William Ruto and a section of other Kenya Kwanza Alliance leaders for campaigns in Gikomba, in Nairobi on Monday, Duale said that no amount of pressure from Uhuru will make Kenyans to vote for Raila.

“We are going to win with over two million votes. We have no issues with Uhuru, he is my long time friends, but imposing his project Raila to us will not work, ‘tumekataa’ we have refused.”

He went on to dismiss the recent opinion polls that have been placing Raila ahead of Ruto, saying that they are doctored and before the results are released, the Azimio brigade meets in Runda, Nairobi county.

“I want to tell those in Azimio, that we know were those opinion polls are manufactured. We know that office in Runda were you meet every night and come up with those fake opinion polls. The factual poll will be on August 9, and it is Kenyans who will decide.”

The former Majority leader in the National Assembly also defended the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission IEBC, over different demands from the Azimio camp, telling the Raila’s wing to leave the poll agency alone, saying that it does not vote, but only counts votes.
