Kenyans have elicited mixed reactions as a popular Lawyer from the Mt. Kenya region now calls for the arrest and prosecution of the Chairman of the Independent Electoral And Boundaries Commission, Wafula Chebukati.
Through his social media page, Lawyer Ndegwa Njiru cited that the Chairman of the Independent Electoral And Boundaries Commission, Wafula Chebukati must be arrested and charged, without explaining the same.

This comes after Wafula Chebukati announced the 2022 presidential results, declaring the United Democratic Party Leader, William Ruto the President-elect. Ruto emerged the winner against his close competitor, the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition.
Kenyans have expressed different views over Njiru’s call for the arrest of Chebukati, some questioning him over the laws broken by Wafula Chebukati. They needed some explanation from the constitutional perspective on why he thinks the Chairman of the Independent Electoral And Boundaries Commission, Wafula Chebukati should be arrested.
