Deputy president William Ruto, the presidential candidate for the Kenya Kwanza alliance and specifically the United democratic alliance, has come out to release a crucial statement after conclusion of tallying of results in most parts of the country.
In a social media message, the presidential candidate delivered a message to all those who won in the just concluded general elections and told them that the hustler nation is counting on them.
He gave particular mention to the many women leaders who have made history by ascending to elective office and said that they should be celebrated. His statement coming after UDA party sponsored at least four women governors: Anne Waiguru, Achani in Kwale, Susan Kihika and Cicily Mbarire of Embu county.
“Congratulations to all election winners. In particular, we celebrate the many women who have broken barriers to climb the political ladder. Best wishes as you embark on your new responsibilities. Hustlers are counting on you,” Ruto said.
