Leaked: Details Of Uhuru’s Meeting With Raila, One Kenya Alliance Leaders At State House- Mombasa

President Uhuru Kenyatta today Tuesday, August 10, 2021, met the Orange Democratic Movement leader Hon. Raila Odinga One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals, Mudavadi, Kalonzo, Wetangula, and Ngilu at State House-Mombasa.

According to Standard news, the main agenda of the meeting is to create a united line-up that would face off against the United Democratic Alliance party leader Hon. William Samoei Ruto in the much-awaited 2022 presidential election.

“The President Uhuru is reportedly concerned by the disunity meted by the Opposition politicians, and wanted to negotiate for a united coalition that would compete against the Ruto,” a senior Government official told The Standard in confidence.

The President has been pushing for a united Opposition that would endorse a single candidate in the 2022 presidential contest. With ODM leader Odinga, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, KANU leader Gideon Moi, Moses Wetangula of Ford-Kenya, and Musalia Mudavadi of Amani National Congress having expressed their interest in the top seat to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.
