Mathira Member of Parliament Rigathi Gachagua has challenged President Uhuru Kenyatta to come clean and name deputy President William Ruto’s competitor immediately.
Gachagua advised the Head of State to parade ODM Leader Raila Odinga as his preferred successor since he is the only formidable Presidential candidate who is eligible to face off with William Ruto.
The vocal Tangatanga allied Member of the Parliament said that if any of the candidates in One Kenya Alliance (Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo, and Gedion Moi) is paraded Presidency, then it will just be a walkover for William Ruto an he (Ruto) will be declared winner unopposed.
Gachagua declared that Mt. Kenya region will remain firmly with DP Ruto, come rain come sunshine, choice if runningmate notwithstanding.
His plea comes barely 16 months only until Kenya holds her much anticipated general election scheduled for August next year with political bigwigs already parading their campaigns in a bid to replace President Uhuru Kenyatta.
