Powerful message from Simiyu Wanjala, The top candidate for the 2020 KCSE exam

Parents and the 2020 KCSE Candidates have eagerly been waiting for the release of their national exams results, finally, education cabinet secretary Prof George Magoha has today afternoon unveiled the results and Simiyu Robinson Wanjala, emerged to be the top student countrywide.

The top student has this evening been interviewed by citizen Tv on what course he would like to pursue and this is what he had to say ” I would like to take a course in medicine at University of Nairobi hopefully.

I had applied for medicine and Engineering” he has also been asked to give word of encouragement to all students both who are below him and above him here is what he had to say ” Students should stick to their dreams, let no one tell them that it is impossible, they should stick with it even if all the odds are against them.

They should also keep working harder and keep God First.”

It was actually a rough journey but candidates had to pull up their Socks, total of 752,891 students sat for the national examination that was done under the fierce Covid-19 pandemic that has hit hard various sectors in the country.

Despite the covid-19 pandemic that interrupted the education timetable, a total of 893 candidates got A plain in KCSE 2020. Candidates who have scored C+ and above is 143,140. This is the minimum entry grade to a university.
