The Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) has brought a lot of reactions from different political classes in the country. Those who are supporting it are praising it saying that it will bring peace into the country, while those who are criticising it are saying that it is meant to create more political positions.p
However, vocal politician and former Kakamega county senator has made fresh allegations on those pushing for BBI. While speaking live on Citizen TV this morning, Khalwale made it clear that the next general elections will be held on 9th of August next year.
In his fresh allegations, Khalwale said that the reason why ODM leader Raila Odinga is pushing for BBI to go through is because he knows that he can’t win elections without BBI. He added that FORD_KENYA party and ODM lack strategies.
According to Khalwale, ODM wish that BBI will be a shortcut for them to take over the country’s top seat come next year. Moreover, they should remember that BBI is dead after High Court judges nullified it.
Khalwale finished by saying that those grounds that made the high court to nullify BBI are hard for the court of appeal to cancel. He therefore urged those supporting BBI to stop wishing because according to him, it is a past tense.
