Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga’s top blogger Robert Alai has taken to his official Facebook page which enjoys a huge traffic of followers to accuse Deputy President William Samoei Ruto’s Tanga Tanga factions of allegedly raiding Dr. Khaminwa’s office over what he termed as sympathy citing that neither the DCI nor EACC was Involved in the same.
This comes suspected EACC detectives on Saturday, July 3, 2021, reportedly raided Dr. Khaminwa’s office in what was believed to be a “veiled attack” planned to frustrate advocates representing clients against the State.
Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President, Mr. Nelson Havi, cited the officers were from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), but the commission’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Twalib Mbarak, denied this.
Dr. Khaminwa said two people raided his office at 11 am to question him.
“I couldn’t understand what they wanted from me,” he said. “They asked my assistant if she could give them some cash but she didn’t.”
This comes just a few days after the flamboyant barrister tore apart the Building Bridges Initiative BBI and slamming the head of state for not obeying Court orders and also agitating that BBI is illegal.
