The case against lawyer Paul Gicheru is a total mix up as it takes a new course. According to Mzalendo Mzalendo who is one of Raila’s most trusted people, the case will be handled by deputy prosecutor James Stewart.
The privy sources have claimed that prosecutor Karim Khan has been barred from involvement in any discussion involving the case, has been denied access to confidential fillings regarding the case and to provide any decision on a substantial or or administrative level related to the case.
Karim Khan who took over from Fatou Bensouda over two weeks ago was once a representative of deputy president William Ruto in the 2007 post elections violence case at the Hague.
“What Next now, ICC prosecutor Karim Khan has rescued himself from leading the case facing Kenyan Lawyer Paul Gicheru. Karim Khan, who took over from Fatou Bensouda two weeks ago had represented Ruto 2007 post elections violence case at the Hague,” Mzalendo Mzalendo reported.
