Who Is The Next President? Raila Odinga Beats DP Ruto Hands Down In Two Separate Opinion Polls

Kenyans head to the polls in August amid acute intra-elite tensions. President Uhuru Kenyatta has united with opposition leader Raila Odinga against the campaign of Deputy President William Ruto, who is bitterly at odds with Kenyatta. Both candidates see a loss as posing existential peril to political and economic interests.

With only 33 days to the next general elections, Kenyans on Twitter have voted on who would be the next President of Kenya, where the Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Alliance Coalition presidential candidate Rt Hon Raila Amolo outshined the Kenya Kwanza coalition presidential candidate Dr. William Samoei Ruto and the Roots party leader Prof George Wajackoya in two separate opinion polls. In the first poll, Raila Odinga garnered 49.5% of the total votes cast while DP Ruto garnered 41.8% and Prof George Wajackoya came in a distant third with 7.1%.

In the second poll, Hon. Raila Odinga once again outshined DP Ruto after garnering 56% of the total votes, DP Ruto came second with 32% of the total votes while Prof George Wajackoya came distance with 12% of the total votes.
