BREAKING: Arsenal have agreed and Completed a deal for midfielder, confirmation imminent

After a disastrous start to their premier league campaign, Arsenal will be keen to make new additions to their squad with their disgruntled fan base already calling for their manager Mikel Arteta to be shown the exit door.

An attacking midfielder remains on the agenda for the Emirates-based giants and it is thought the club have rekindled their interest in Norwegian and Real Madrid playmaker Martin Odegaard over a summer move.

The premier league giants have also secured the signature of their first-team star Granit Xhaka who has now signed a four-year contract which all but ends speculations about his future at the Emirates stadium.

Football London correspondent Chris Wheatley has reported that the Swiss international has penned a new deal with the club and the official announcement is now imminent.

Xhaka’s future at the club looked to be uncertain during the Euros and he looked bound to join the Italian side AS Roma with sources further reporting he had agreed to personal terms but the Serie A side failed to meet Arsenal’s valuation of the player which saw the deal collapse.

The former Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder will be key for Mikel Arteta and Arsenal as he is expected to be the partner to Thomas Partey who should link up with the squad after his injury layoff by the end of August.
