According to the reports, Nyunya died at the Mater Hospital where he has admitted a few days ago.
Kisumu County Governor Prof Anyang Nyon’go nominated Nyunya as the Kisumu County Health Executive and Sanitation in April 2020 after he reposted Judith Miguda who was handling the health docket to the business co-operatives and marketing docket.
“Pursuant to powers conferred by Article 179 (2) (b) of the Constitution 2010 and Section 30 (2) (d) of the County Government Act 2012, I have today nominated Nyunya to serve as the county executive committee member in charge of the department of health and sanitation,” Prof Nyongo said.
Nyunya was a gynaecologist, Public Health Practioner, and associate Professor at Moi University College
