Just recently, Raila Odinga’s co-principals in NASA Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka announced their decision to leave NASA but until now, neither of them has written to the registrar of political parties to formalize the exit. That is probably because of the huge amount of money given to them by Raila Odinga’s ODM party.
Just as he knew NASA was going to fall apart, Raila Odinga came up with a calculated game plan as he allowed his ODM party to share the money for political parties with their sister parties in the NASA coalition. According to reports, Musalia’s ANC, Kalonzo’s Wiper and other parties in NASA will now receive Ksh153 million from ODM’s kitty.
With that big offer, who can really leave? Can you personally leave behind Ksh153 million and walk away? Definitely that’s a no. So Raila’s calculated plan leave Mudavadi and Kalonzo with no choice for now rather than to cling on to NASA coalition.
