What The UK Gov Reportedly Planning To Do For Kenyans By Next Week 72hrs After Uhuru’s Visit To UK

Good news to Kenyan citizens as United Kingdom government reportedly set to give kenya more than 800,000 doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccines. The first 400,000 doses to be sent next week.

This will boost Kenya’s fight against the virus. GoK is already in the process of importing over 13 million doses of J&J vaccine from next month.

This comes after President Uhuru Kenyatta 3-days visit to United Kingdom officially started on Wednesday after he flew out of the country. Reports indicated that president Uhuru was received and welcomed by Britain’s Prime Minister, Boris Johnson and other royals of the country.

However, His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta was forced to be tested for the Covid 19 disease on his arrival. The United Kingdom was resilient and firm to that move (testing Uhuru Kenyatta for Covid 19) mainly to protect her Prime Minister together with other royal family members who were supposed to interact with him (President Kenyatta) during his stay in the country.

The visit, which will see him co-chair the Global Education Summit with his host Prime Minister Boris Johnson, comes 18 months since the President last visited the UK for the Africa Investment Summit.

The Global Education Summit: Financing GPE 2021-2025 will take place on July 28 and 29, 2021.

His visit is also seen as a move to strengthen Kenya-UK Strategic Partnership.
