Angry Kenyan citizens have today badly lectured the Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture Hon. Peter Munya after he took to his social media account and state that he interacted with stakeholders in the Agriculture sector during his development tour of Imenti central in Meru county where he assisted small scale farmers with over 1,800 pipes of different sizes, to community water project aimed at assisting the community in distribution of water to their farms.
His statement seemed to have angered Kenyan online citizens after they bitterly reacted toward the post with one user identified as Steve Ichaura told the CS that how comes he only visits Meru. Since he took over he has visited the region more than 500 times.
Chebochok Tonui pointed out at the CS alluding that even the sugarcane farmers are also crying and he has never visited them.
On the other hand, Dennis Kipkemoi lectured him by asking if the CS is the Meru County CEC for Agriculture or Kenya’s minister for Agriculture, citing that 3/4 of Hon. Munya’s tours are confined in Meru county contrary to the seat he is holding. Adding that that’s patriotism or pure tribalism.
Macclod Magara also pointed out that CS Munya didn’t do anyone a favor there because it’s the right of the farmers to be served by him and benefits of development projects that are carried out by the ministry he is working for, citing that nobody elected him to be the Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture, but he was simply a politician appointee and he has no tenure, so he should stop treating development projects like a present he is giving to Kenyans.
