It was all messy in Migori town yesterday when migori residents decided to oust the presidential aspirant Jimmy Wanjigi in the middle of his speech. Stones were thrown at him forcing him to cut short his speech and taking shelter as angry migori youths threw stones at him.
Wanjigi is on a two day journey in Nyanza region where he is on a mission to declare his presidential ambition. The move by the migori residents has caused an uproar online and many people have come forward to condemn the act.
Equally the ODM leader and the party has condemned the act, calling on the Migori residents to be accommodative to everyone. “ODM Party condemns the incidents of violence in Migori Involving Jimmi Wanjigi and urges for tolerance and accommodation of every political view. We urge police to ensure culprits are brought to book.”
