Another misplaced priority as Treasury CS NJUGUNA NDUNG’U builds a luxury Gym, Spa, and Massage Parlour for his staffers instead of focusing on lowering the cost of living

Monday, March 27, 2023 – The government of President William Ruto has been accused of focusing on priorities for the rich few in government instead of focusing on the real hustlers.

From creating non-existent positions to reward Kenya Kwanza loyalists and friends, to increasing the budget for the top three positions, Ruto’s government has done it again.

This is after The National Treasury CS Prof. Njuguna Ndung’u unveiled a luxurious gym, Spar and Massage Parlour for his staffers at the time hustlers are grappling with the high cost of living.

The newly established facilities at Bima House will be members-only for Treasury staffers.

The Ministry stated that the exclusive facility would be free for use by its staff to help them keep fit and bond while at work.

Equipped with ultramodern facilities, it has a capacity of between 250 and 300 users daily at different intervals.

Further, the Treasury stated that the gym will open on Monday to Friday from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM and from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM over the weekends and holidays.

Services that the gym operator will be required to offer include training on physical fitness, aerobic and anaerobic exercises, self-defence, physiotherapy, massage, as well as nutritional training.

Other services that will be provided at the fitness centre will include a steam bath and sauna, first-aid awareness lessons, field, and outside training, team building and bonding, and boot camps.

Interested bidders were directed to obtain further information from the National Treasury offices and inspect the tender documents during office hours from 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
