At Kenya Medical Training College department of health records and information technology is the aims to provide strong foundations for their students.
Having been in existence since 1978 when the department was established at KMTC Nairobi, the department has a long history of excellence in the training of competent professionals in this field.
In this department, students are taught the importance of keeping records for continuity of patient care and treatment, evaluation of patient care, monitoring and evaluation of health systems, and for medical-legal purposes.
You will also explore many subjects such as database management, electronic health records, ethical and legal issues related to health information management, and medical coding.
