Raila Odinga is currently making his way to Kakamega town after a meeting that was attended by several legislators and residents from the area. From the onset, the meeting was characterized by heavy police presence in the area where the ODM leader was expected to address the leaders present.
After the meeting, huge gatherings were witnessed in the town blocking the motorcade of the former prime minister. Police were forced to intervene and manage the crowds which were building up to have a glimpse at the ODM leader who is in the area for a one-day visit.
From the look of things, the huge crowds seem to have welcomed Raila into the area with good intentions even as 2022 polls draw near. Raila is seeking to convince the region to vote for him in the next general election despite falling out with Musalia Mudavadi who hails from the region.
