President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Handshake partner Raila Amolo Odinga are reportedly planning to attend a ceremony scheduled for Saturday, July 31, 2021, aimed at planting a new generation of equity and inclusivity at the karura forest.
This comes as speculations are high alleging section of the jubilee party including their party secretary general Rafael Tuju and David Murathe backed by President Uhuru’s brother, Muhoho Kenyatta is now focusing on allying with Raila’s Orange Democratic Movement ahead of the 2022 general elections.
Karura Forest is an urban forest situated in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. The forest was gazetted in 1932 and is managed by the Kenya Forest Service in conjunction with the Friends of Karura Forest Community Forest Association.
The Forest is 1,041 ha (2,570 acres) consisting of three parts separated by Limuru and Kiambu roads.
