Raila Campaign In Isiolo And His Multibillion Investments Projects Promise To The Region

In the campaign tour of Isiolo County, ODM leader Raila Odinga advanced his Azimio la Umoja rallying call in the meeting of delegations from Isiolo, Marsabit, and Samburu counties.

Odinga told the northern frontier counties that he had begun a vision 2030 blueprint that would have seen the region open up and join other sale-sufficient counties.

Drought is currently ravaging the region and Odinga outlined his water harvesting program that includes dams and boreholes.

Odinga told residents of Isiolo that government could invest in ensuring its population puts food on the table. Odinga said that it will be possible through his social welfare program promise.

Local politics and rivalry played out at the meeting, with Governor Mohammed Kuti being shouted down during his speech. But leaders who accompanied Odinga, rallied the north behind him.

MPs added that the Azimio la Umoja campaign was for the good of the country as it heads to the polls next year. Odinga continued rallying the youth to register as voters.

Odinga’s campaign will now move to the Mount Kenya region with an extension of Meru, Tharaka Nithi, and Embu.
