Back to his traditional base, the ODM leader accompanied by the president of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta have commissioned several projects in Kibera which is described as the fruits of the handshake deal between the two.
Among the projects unveiled is the Kibera level 3 hospital which was constructed and equipped by the Nairobi Metropolitan service. The president held the project as a transformative move that would boost the straining health sector.
The launching of the Kibera level 3 hospital was described as a milestone in decongesting some of the cities’ hospitals, including Kenyatta National hospital and Mbagathi hospital. Odinga on his part challenged the government to return programs to cushion the youth. The opposition chief said that they youths had been ravaged by the effects of covid-19 that had destroyed their source of livelihoods.
