Lately, cases of love triangles that have gone sour have been on the rise in Kenya. A week doesn’t pass without getting a case of a lover who has decided to end their lives in pursuit of revenge or freedom. This is the same case with Nelson Baraza alias ‘Tupa Tupa’ who is reported to have killed his girlfriend before surrendering to the police.
According to Mr. Baraza, his girlfriend cheated on him and that is why he decided to end her life mercilessly. According to police reports, the suspect who is from kapenguria surrendered to the police saying he did not want to waste time looking for the slain girlfriend.
“She cheated, I killed her, I surrender”. He said. The suspect led detectives to the crime scene after surrendering, maintaining his stand that he killed her for cheating on him. However, the big question here is, was that the only way out?
