Mawego Technical Training Institute

Mawego TTI is a technical training institution that enjoys a rich history. Located along Mawego Kadongo road in Homabay County,it was incepted in 1952 by Utretch Brothers of Netherlands as a trade school.

Its was taken over by the government and became a National Technical Secondary School after which it was upgraded in 1986 to become a Technical Training Institute offering technical and business related courses at certificate and diploma levels.

Mawego TTI offers courses in fields such as ICT, Agriculture, Electrical, Building, Automotive, Applied Sciences and Business Studies.

Some of the Diploma courses include; Electrical and electronic engineering (power options), Electrical and electronic engineering (instrumentation options), Automotive Engineering, Welding and Fabrication, Building Construction, Land Survey, Civil Engineering, Food and Beverage Management, Business Management, Sales and Marketing Management, Project Management, Secretarial Studies, Agriculture, Human Resource Management, Social Work and Community Development, Information and Communication Technology, Nutrition and Dietetics Management, Information Science, Supply Chain Management, Applied Biology, Analytical Chemistry, Food Technology, Accountancy, Banking and Finance.

Some of the craft courses include;  Electrical and Electronics Technology (power and instrument options), Food and Beverage, Bakery, Catering and Accommodation, General Agriculture, Building Technology, Road Construction, Carpentry and Joinery, Welding and Fabrication, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing and Pipe fitting, Science Laboratory Technology, Human Resource Management, Secretarial Studies, Information Communication Technology, Business Management, Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Social Work, Food Technology, Accountancy, Fisheries, Land Survey, Information Science.

All applications should be accompanied with photocopies of KCSE certificate or result slip, school leaving certificate, National Identity Card and a non-refundable application fee of Ksh 300 in money order form payable to “Mawego Technical Training Institute.”
